Saving a "Book" resource
The "Book" resource type in Moodle is commonly used to present content spread over multiple pages, such as guided readings or learning resources. When you open a Book, you'll see a menu with a table of contents on the left and a page of content on the right. You can navigate using the left and right arrows on the right side (above and below the page of content) or using the menu on the left.
To save a Book, look at the Administration menu when you have the Book open:
Select "Print book" and you'll see a pop-up browser window. If you don't see this, please check your browser settings to make sure you have enabled pop-ups.
When the pop-up window appears, select "Print book" again on the top left corner of the pop-up window, which is basically the whole Book in one webpage. You can then print the Book as a PDF file, if you have a PDF writer installed. Or you can send the
print command to your printer, if you have one.
Every page in the printed Book will match the respective page in the online version of the Book. If the online version of a Book page has just a few lines, the printed page will also have the same few lines and the remaining space will be blank. We recommend
that you print the Book as a PDF file to conserve paper.
Remember: Before you print, check all the interactive elements in the Book, such as reflection questions and embedded quizzes. If you see any such elements, you'll need to open or answer them before making a PDF of the book or printing it out.
